Group Description
The Olympians White 2 group is designed for swimmers aged 13 and older who are looking to improve their fitness, refine their swimming skills, and enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle through swimming. This year-long program supports lifelong participation in a structured yet flexible environment. This program can be paired with our Leadership Development programs to gain experience and qualifications for coaching, lifeguarding, or officiating.
Main Objectives
- Improve fitness.
- Refine stroke technique for efficiency and endurance.
- Foster an enjoyment of swimming for continued participation beyond competitive pathways.
Criteria
- Target Age: 13 to 15 Years as of March 15th (While the target age provides general guidance, swimmers aged 13 to 18 may be considered to accommodate individual differences in growth, development, and experience.)
- Ability: Able to complete a 200 Continuous Choice Swim Under 4:30.
- Commitment: Emerging Foundational Level (Foundational Commitment Rubric) Score: 9+
Equipment
Swimmers need to bring their own goggles and swimwear.
Practice Schedule
2 X 75 Minute Sessions per Week (15 Minutes On Deck + 60 Minutes In Water)
Competition
Swimmers in White 2 are not eligible for competition.
Registration
Registration for White 2 is a year-long program, running from September through July.

Member Registration Fee: $215.00 / Season
- A one-time annual fee assessed per swimmer at the beginning of each season. This fee includes club administration, Swim BC / Swimming Canada annual membership (providing essential benefits like insurance coverage during sanctioned activities), and a Team Uniform Starter Kit (one white team t-shirt and one team swim cap). This fee is due upon registration and may be prorated for swimmers joining later in the season.

Swim Challenge Assessment: $200.00 / Season
- A mandatory annual fee for all registered members. This assessment contributes vital funds towards club operational costs. Members are required to participate in the Swim Challenge event, where pledges from sponsors can be earned to reduce or completely offset this assessment. Funds raised through pledges will be applied directly to the member's account.

Program Fees: $1,600.00 / Season (Lump Sum)
- The annual program fees cover the primary costs of delivering the program, including coaching and facility rental.
- Payment Options:
- Lump Sum Payment: The full annual program fee is due on September 1st of the current season.
- Installment Plan: An installment plan is available, consisting of 11 equal monthly payments. Utilizing the installment plan includes a 5% surcharge on the lump sum fee. Payments are due on the 1st of each month, commencing in September and continuing through July of the season year.
Important Notes:
- Additional Fees: Please note that participation in external swim meets or special clinics (if chosen) may involve additional fees for event entries or specific activity costs. Costs for additional Team Uniform items and personal Training Equipment are separate and not included in the program fees.
- Payment Methods: All fees must be paid online via credit card or pre-authorized debit. Please be aware of associated processing fees (Credit Card 3.1% + $0.40 per transaction; Pre-Authorized Debit 1.2% + $0.50 per transaction).
- Financial Aid: Information on external financial assistance options (e.g., Canadian Tire Jumpstart, KidSport, and Athletics 4 Kids) and details on reducing fees through the Swim Challenge pledge program are available on our website and in the Member Handbook.
