Group Description
The Olympians Red 6 group is designed for swimmers aged 13 and older who are looking to improve their fitness, refine their swimming skills, and enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle through swimming. This year-long program supports lifelong participation in a structured yet flexible environment. This program can be paired with our Leadership Development programs to gain experience and qualifications for Coaching, Lifeguarding, or Officiating.
Main Objectives
Placement Criteria
The following criteria were used for your swimmer's placement into the programs this season:

Target Age: 13 to 17 Years as of March 15th (While the target age provides general guidance, swimmers aged 13 to 18 years may be considered to accommodate individual differences in growth, development, and experience.)

Ability: Dive start; Legal 200 IM (Individual Medley) under 3:20.

Commitment: Emerging Foundational Level (Foundational Commitment Rubric) Score: 9+
Equipment
Swimmers need to bring their own goggles, swimwear, kickboard, pull buoy, band, paddles, fins, and snorkel. Additional equipment may be required. Equipment specifications will be distributed by the coach after registration.
Practice Schedule
6 X 75 Minute Sessions per Week (15 Minutes On Deck + 60 Minutes In Water)
Competition
Swimmers in the Red 6 group will have the opportunity to participate in Swim BC sanctioned competitions, including Olympians All-Squad and Regional Development competitions.
Registration
Registration for Red 6 is a year-long program, running from September through July.

Additional Fees: Please note that Event, Competition, and Travel Fees, as well as costs for additional Team Uniform items and personal Training Equipment, are separate and not included in the program fees.

Payment Methods: All fees must be paid online via credit card (3.1% + $0.40 per transaction) or pre-authorized debit (1.2% + $0.50 per transaction). All payments will be processed securely through Pool Queue, powered by Stripe.
