Olympians Claim Victory at 2026 Best of the West Fest in Winnipeg

Olympians Swimming delivered an outstanding performance this past weekend, capturing the team title at the 2026 Best of the West Fest in Winnipeg. Competing against some of the top clubs in Western Canada, our swimmers rose to the occasion and showcased the strength, depth, and determination of our program.

There were several major highlights from an incredible meet:

A huge congratulations to Paige, Ella, and Josh on qualifying for Trials for the very first time—an exciting milestone and a testament to their hard work and commitment.

Fernando delivered a standout performance in the para events, setting a new provincial record in the 100m backstroke with a time of 1:03.75. An incredible swim and a well-deserved achievement.

Mark made waves on the national stage, breaking the Canadian record in the 100m butterfly with a blistering time of 54.25, surpassing the previous mark held by Olympian Josh Liendo. A remarkable accomplishment and a sign of even bigger things ahead.

This meet was a true reflection of the momentum building within Olympians Swimming. From breakthrough performances to record-breaking swims, the future is looking incredibly bright.

With the season still underway, our athletes remain focused, motivated, and ready to keep pushing the limits.
