LOSC Long Course Inviational Swim Meet-officials

Greetings,

It's long course time!  On the weekend of March 27th and 28th, Langley will be hosting our 8th annual LC Invitational at the Walnut Grove Pool.  I have been asked to ensure that we have sufficient officials to run our meet in the way that our guests (other swim clubs) have come to expect.  If your child is swimming at the meet we expect that you will volunteer by being a timer, stroke and turn official, referee or chief timer.  For those with the credentials for stroke and turn, and/or starter I would appreciate a quick note indicating your interest and availability.  All parents, even without prior training, are welcome and able to participate in our meet as timers (When I first started, it was pointed out that opposable thumbs and a willingness to participate in your children's activities were the only real requirement to be a timer).  Being a timer means meeting new people, learning much about the sport your child participates in, and finding the time spent at a meet pass quickly.

We need officials on Saturday and Sunday.  All the times are approximate and the actual races start about 45 minutes after the beginning time to allow for warmup. Check out the times to see when your child is swimming.
